Phoenix International's manufacturing facility provides full turnkey manufacturing services and the latest in electronic manufacturing and assembly processes. Our processes are highly automated to reduce costs for our customers and for consistent operation with the least amount of error. We offer both batch and continuous flow capabilities to support high and low volume production. We support thru-hole and surface mount designs, and have a full range of test and burn-in capabilities at both PCB and final assembly levels.

Advanced Technology

Phoenix International's New Product Introduction Center (NPI) was built as the cornerstone of North Dakota State University's Technology Park. Housing up to 300 technical and engineering personnel, the NPI Center revolves around new product development, applying advanced technology in the development of processes, and the testing needed to produce new products.

The NPI facility contains a full line of production-capable manufacturing equipment that mirrors the capabilities of the equipment in the manufacturing facility, but is design for lower quantity runs. This manufacturing line helps us gain a better understanding of new technology and processes as they relate to our products before the processes are implemented at the main manufacturing facility.

Prototype Manufacturing

In addition to using the manufacturing line at the NPI facility to investigate processes, the line is also used for manufacturing product prototypes. Manufacturing prototypes here has several benefits. Prototypes are produced on equipment that is the same or similar to equipment used for final product production. The equipment is also designed for smaller quantities that are typical of prototype production. This makes producing prototypes more efficient than production on a high speed manufacturing line.
